Question: Where the f**k have I been for the last 7 weeks?
Answer: I’ve been in Midhurst filming comedy Horror film Doghouse.
The film features myself Danny Dyer (football factory, Adulthood) Stephen Graham (Snatch, Gangs of New York) and Emil Mawa (East is East, the Guru) and is basically about a group of friends who go on a weekend away only to find when they get there all the women are zombies. I won’t tell you why or how but will tell you that this film is damn funny. The reason I did it was because the script was so funny and when you see us all doing our thing you really will laugh.
I gotta say Comedy horrors are not usually my thing. Shaun of the dead and Severance both did well but I never went to the cinema and saw them, I saw them on DVD or sky. Doghouse does have the potential to be the best/funniest one that the UK has ever produced. You’re probably thinking “well he would say that” but I’m always very honest about what I do and what I feel about them. When it comes out we’ll see, but for right now Doghouse could and should be the best.
It was good working with Danny again and all the other boys were cool. The production was based in an old hospital and it became like one huge big brother house, except there was about three kitchens, a bar, and a PS3 in the green room. We did 4 and half weeks of night shoots, which was hard. Anyone out there who wants to do acting, nights shoots will wipe you out. That’s all I can tell you for now. There is a nice little promo floating around but I’m not allowed to put it up.
For those interested. I’m only acting in Doghouse. It was directed by Jake West and written by Dan Schaffer.
